Located in Wuyishan National Park, on the riverside of Jiuquxi, the project is a tourist facility of transportation transfer and teahouse.
The main space of the architecture is hidden underneath the half lifted driving road in this national park, to minimize the impact to scenic site and landscape, meanwhile offering a fantastic view to river and mountain peaks.
The construction is to use the excavated earth as formwork for cast-in-situ concrete, based on a low-tech strategy of using resource from site and acquiring economy. It also creates a cave-like interior as a response to geological character of context.
